In Honor of the Virginia Tech victims
My heart goes out to my fellow Hokies. This tragedy shocks the Blacksburg community, the Virginia Tech campus and alumni around the world. As a Hokie, there is a sense of camaraderie and kin-menship that is much like a very large family. As a Virginia Tech student, being a Hokie is more than going to school at Tech. Hokies may not know each other but during this tragedy, one Hokie's pain is every Hokies pain. Already there is word that the Denver Alumni association is hosting a memorial service tomorrow. My network of Hokies have all contacted each other hoping that no victim was known personally. Still this horrible incident haunts us as we watch, helplessly, the horror unfold about events that occurred at our beloved Alma Mater. I know I speak for all Hokies, that our hearts are with the victims, their families and friends as well as the whole campus community and the town of Blacksburg.
