The Natural line of soaps from Pandora's Soapbox Company contain only essential oils for their scent. Essential oils are different from fragrance oils in that they don't just scent soap, they add properties to each bar. Tea tree oil for instance is great for problem skin. Anise oil is great for antibacterial needs, I often turn to this soap after a hard workout at the gym. Lavender is soothing to the soul as well as to the skin.

Pandora's Natural soaps use only natural colorants. Even though I have no issues using FDA approved colorants I made the decision to keep these soaps 100% natural. Only herbs, spices and powders will be used to color these bars. Some bars may not have any color at all and get their appearance solely from the oils in the recipe and the essential oils.

I plan to make soaps of one essential oil or a blend of them. The oils that are either already in my soap making supplies or soon to arrive include:

Anise, Balsam of Peru, Sweet birch, Cassia, Cedar, Cinnamon leaf, Clary sage, Clove, Eucalyptus, Fir needle, Lavender, Lemongrass, Sweet orange, Palmarosa, Patachouli, Peppermint, Rosewood, Spearmint, Spruce, Tea tree and Ylang Ylang.

More may be added as I experiment with scents and combinations. This line will be very diverse and rich with natural aromas. Please review all ingredients, as these are natural products some people may have a sensitivity to certain essential oils.

Base soap recipe ingredients: Saponified oils of olive, palm kernal, palm, hemp and castor with essential oils and various natural colorants/additives.

Lavender Dreams: Pure lavender is one of the best essential oils I think! It's so soothing and rich smelling! Just like the flower. This soap is colored with alkanet root but I didn't use enough to get a purple color and I think the hemp interfered anyways. Still smells and feels great! Ingredients: Saponified oils of olive, palm, palm kernal, coconut, hemp and castor with essential oils of lavender and alkanet root coloring. (Out of Stock)
Spiced Orange: I seriously want to eat this soap! An old fashioned scent that is always fresh and warm. (Due to the clove and cinnamon be cautious using in tender areas, I've never had a problem but just in case!) Ingredients: Saponified oils of olive, coconut, palm, hemp and castor with essential oils of sweet orange, clove, and cinnamon, sugar and cinnamon powder. (Out of Stock)
Patchouli with Hemp: Great lathering bar of soap! Patchouli is always my favorite and I think the hemp adds a creaminess to the lather. Patchouli is such an earthy, incense type smell, popular with men and women alike! Ingredients: Saponified oils of olive, palm kernal, palm, hemp, and castor with patchouli essential oil.
